This week's Woodland Tales was Dinosaur Roar! 🦖
We looked through the story together and shared our knowledge on dinosaurs! We know that dinosaurs did exist a very long time ago but not anymore.
We decided to become dinosaurs and played the dinosaur game where we had to do what the dinosaurs did in the story! We looked at how each word was an opposite to another.
We learnt the new word of the week which was fierce! We all used our facial expressions to create a fierce dinosaur face!
We then found the fierce dinosaur hidden in the magic garden but he wasn't fierce anymore, he was upset. He didn't have another dinosaur friend to play with him. So, we all decided to make him a new dinosaur friend which made him very happy! 🦕

This week we have started our Woodland Tales and have been busy exploring colours and emotions! We enjoyed some Colour Monster colour sorting, talking about the different emotions and what might make us feel each one. We then went on our very own colour hunt, working together to find different colours in the magic and discussing the feelings and experiences linked to them.
We also learnt a brand-new word: MIX! We explored lots of different mixing activities and had great fun mixing coloured water together. We made predictions about what colours we thought we might create and then watched with excitement as the colours mixed to make something new!

We have really enjoyed learning about our emotions with Shine this week! We have been exploring different emotions and using our bodies and facial expressions to act out how each emotion might look and feel. We have also started talking about what makes us feel different emotions and sharing our own experiences with our friends.

We are so excited to welcome all of our new children to Nursery! It has been wonderful to see how well they have settled into their new environment.
The children have been exploring their surroundings, joining in with activities and routines, and beginning to build relationships with the adults and friends around them.
We are so proud of how confidently they are settling in and look forward to seeing them continue to grow, learn and make lots of happy memories with us!
