Star of the week: Ella C for an amazing report in English.
This week we have been writing up our reports on Food in the Stone Age. We have worked really hard on these and have produced some lovely final drafts. We also did art pencil and pastel skills in art on a Stone Age theme and produced some great work. Our knowledge on the Stone, Bronze and Iron Ages is fantastic. Ask us what we know! Next week we will start to learn about Romans as part of our Invaders and Settlers topic.
Week ending 25/09/2026
We have had a great week continuing our learning about the Stone, Bronze and Iron Ages. We have been writing non chronological reports about the Stone Age and have been finding out why people started to use iron instead of bronze as the Iron Age began. We also had a Stone Age session with Shine where we learnt a rap about the three parts of the Stone Age, the paleolithic, mesolithic and neolithic ages. In maths we have been partitioning hundreds, tens and ones. We enjoyed our Francophone day and made some wonderful posters about French speaking countries.

This week we launched our new topic, Invaders and Settlers, with a wonderful workshop all about the Stone Age. Bronze Age and Iron Age. We looked at artefacts such as antlers, pottery, animal skins and flint, sketched them and found out how and why they were used. We made our own Bronze Age mirrors and Stone Age cave paintings. As well as our workshop we also launched our topic by investigating other time periods such as The Romans, Anglo-Saxons and Vikings.
