Autumn Newsletter
Week Ending 17/10/2025
Year 2 had a fantastic trip to Yorkshire Wildlife Park this week. We enjoyed seeing lots of different animals on our walk around the park. In the afternoon we learnt more about different animals with Alex and some of us were brave enough to hold some animals. We were excited to see the African animals that we have been learning about at school but our favourite animals were the polar bears and capybara!
Week Ending 10/10/25
This week we have focused on learning key number facts in maths. In our Friday maths lesson, we enjoyed learning about 3D shapes and some of us got to make a 3D train! In English, we enjoyed writing about our imaginary animal called Strot.

Week Ending 03/10/2025
This week Class 6 have finished our writing about our own animal characters. We copied up our descriptions using our best handwriting - we are very proud of our first piece of writing in Year 2. We have enjoyed all of our different learning this week, but were really excited to write certificates for our different friends in the class in our PSHE lesson.

Week Ending 26/09/2025
Class 6 really enjoyed celebrating European Languages Day this Friday. We made our own class bunting, learnt about different European flags, listened to a French story and visited a French cafe.

Class 6 have had a fantastic first week in Year 2! We have enjoyed playing lots of different maths and spelling games, we have started our new topic all about South Africa and we were excited to win the attendance award.
