Year 3

Year 3 learned more about climate change on Wednesday as we took part in different activities on Climate Joy Day.
Because we are thinking  a lot about how we can make a difference in our community, we explored the school grounds and began to plan what we could do to encourage more wildlife. Everyone would like more flowers, a wild flower area and homes and feeding stations for different creatures.
We also researched different women who have all been an important part of protecting the natural world and made our own posters or booklets to show what we had learned. Jane Goodall, Greta Thunberg and Sylvia Earle all did what they were passionate about and believed everyone can make a difference.

Year 3 really enjoyed our Climate Scavenger Hunt around school! As part of Climate Day, we explored different habitats and biomes, learning about the animals, plants, and weather in each one. We loved being creative and showing what we had learned about our amazing planet.
