Year 6
Year 6 had a brilliant time celebrating Earth Day! They joined Carly from Shine to learn the uplifting Climate Joy song, singing with enthusiasm and thinking about the positive ways we can help our planet. Afterwards, the class took their clipboards outside to enjoy nature and create beautiful drawings inspired by the world around them. It was a lovely way to connect with the environment through both music and art.

Climate Curriculum – Summer Term – Home Learning
Year six learned all about carbon sinks during Climate Joy Day. We learned about the importance of forests, oceans and permafrost to trap carbon so we don't have too much in our atmosphere. This is called a carbon sink. We began by learning as a class before researching in pairs in more detail. We put our findings together to create a group outcome showing off what we had learnt.
