This Week's Certificate Winners
Well done to this week's certificate winner, who has been doing lots of wonderful work on Tapestry.
27th November
We have been exploring different artists this week as an introduction to our art. We have explored Andy Warhol, Vincent Van Gogh, Rembrandt and Picasso.
We had a great time on No Pens Wednesday. The children explored counting in 2s, 5s and 10s using money in maths, then we did some hot seating based on 'We're going on a Bear Hunt', we did some wonderful music and we made touch pictures as we explored the five senses.
We also did an amazing treasure hunt. The children had to work out the clues and find the treasure.
We went on a bear hunt this week. The children enjoyed exploring the book 'We're going on a bear hunt' then they actually managed to find a bear!

Children in Need 2020
13th November
Last week in science we investigated the sense of taste. The children experienced different tastes and described them. Then they sorted pictures of food into the different tastes we experience. Ask the children about the new Sensory Zone we have created in the classroom.
History of toys
Last term we learnt about the history of toys. The children worked in groups. They made a poster of Victorian games which we played in PE, they did a timeline of dolls and teddy bears and made a presentation from their own toy museum. The children also wanted a teddy bears picnic which we had in the Community garden. All the teddy bears were very well behaved!
Good work assembly on chocolate Friday
DT Work
In Design Technology the children planned and made their own moving toys. They made some amazing moving toys using levers and sliders.
