Attendance Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a capable, hardworking Attendance Officer to join our talented office team.

 

Beechwood is a large and dynamic primary school, where all staff make a vital contribution to the wellbeing and progress of our pupils. We are looking for someone with experience and skills relating to working in an office environment and also working directly with children & families within a primary school setting.

 

The role involves maintaining school attendance systems and working with the Inclusion Team to investigate persistent absences and improve punctuality.  It involves working with individual children and their families to support them with any potential barriers to learning, in order for them to achieve their full potential.  It also involves working with the cluster, Leeds City Council and other external agencies, as necessary, when informal systems have not been successful. Appropriate training will be given to facilitate delivery of the role. We require a committed person who wants to play an active role in ensuring that pupils and families are positively supported.

 

Hours of work: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only. Permanent contract.

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Appointment to this post is subject to enhanced DBS clearance and satisfactory references.
