25th July

Class 6 enjoyed their day out at Temple Newsam on the last day of term!

8th July 

Year 2 had a fantastic trip to the seaside on Thursday we build lots of sandcastles and had a great time paddling in the sea!

27th May

Year 2 have worked extremely hard and finished their SATs this week. They should be very proud of themselves. All children had a great day on Friday to celebrate. Well done to Lucy and Lany on your fantastic home learning!

20th May

Year 2 have worked really hard on their SATs this week. We will be finishing them off at the start of next week.

13th May

We had a great time at The Deep on Thursday where we saw lots of amazing sea creatures and learnt about different seaside habitats. Well done to Greyson, Jack, Lucy and Harper who were all absolute superstars on the trip.

6th May

We have had a busy week this week in Year 2! In science learning about the frog life cycle and food chains which we have found really interesting. We can't wait to go to The Deep next week!

29th April

We started our new Science topic ‘Habitats' and we went out to the garden so we could find different living things and the sorts of habitats they lived in.

Class 6 had a great few days back after the Easter break. We had our ‘launch’ lesson on our new topic, ‘The Seaside’ so we could decide what we were interested in learning more about.

18th March

Year 2 had a great time den building sat Ledston Woods this week! We were very proud of the dens we made. Well done Frankie and Isabella on your certificates this week!
 

11th March

This week, we enjoyed doing some yoga for 'Mindful March'. We also learned about some inspirational women as part of 'Inspirational Women's Day'. Well done to Oliver, Elsie-Rae and Therese on your certificates this week!

4th March

Class 6 have had a great first week back. We had a fantastic World Book Day where we made some story boxes based on ‘Bob and the mystery moon tree’. Well done Oscar and Lily for your certificates!

Class 6 have worked very hard this half term - well done! A huge congratulations to all our certificate winners too!

This week we have done some excellent art based on our ‘Explorers’ topic which we are looking forward to showing you. We enjoyed our 'Dress to Express' day on Friday.

This week we were lucky because we got to visit the stardome where we learned about all about The Solar System. Well done to this week's certificate winners for their excellent work this week!

We had a great time when Matthew Bellwood came in and we explored the Beechwood jungle! Well done to Sophia, Finley and Pepper for their certificates this week!

Class 6 have worked extremely hard this week. We are starting to learn about our new topic, 'Explorers' and we are really looking forward to learning about Space.

17th December

We have had a fantastic last week of term! We worked in groups to do some research on South Africa which we are very proud of. We also had a great time at our Christmas party too! Have a fantastic Christmas break and a happy new year.

Year 2 have been working hard to practise their Christmas performance this week. We can't wait for you to see it next week!

3rd December

Year 2 had a great gymnastics session this week with the PE coach. Well done to Alister, Isobella, Lany and Alfie who are this week's certificate winners!

26th November

This week's certificate winners were Isabella, Harry, Therese and Greyson. Well done!

We had a great day on Wednesday for No Pens Day. D-Side came in to teach us about keeping safe online and Matthew Bellwood did some storytelling with us. We also worked in pairs to solve some 2D shape problems in maths.

Year 2 had a great time at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park where we spotted lots of different animals. We loved seeing the polar bear eating a watermelon! Well done to Jacob, Jack, Isobella and Lucy on your certificates!
