Fair Trade
Mon 11 Mar 2019A group of year 4 children were asked to attend an event at the Civic Hall Leeds. It was attended by the Lord and Lady Mayor of Leeds, Hillary Ben MP and trade organisations in support of Fair Trade.
Children from many schools in Leeds were represented to learn more about the Fair Trade organisation.
As a school we have attended this event in the past but this year instead of just taking part in some of the activities and workshops our school was asked to prepare and run one. The children in Year 4 look at the Fair Trade model as part of the study unit on Ghana. The children who attended the event will have the opportunity to deliver their workshop again to their class this term.
Our students were given a certificate for their had work by the Lord Mayor of Leeds. They were excellent ambassadors for our school.
Well done Year 4.
