• Spirit Alive Fund Raising

  Year 5 are pleased to announce the fundraising activities for this year’s Spirit Alive week.  Thanks to your generosity, last year we raised a fantastic amount, and were able to put on an amazing variety of events, which were enjoyed by our whole school community.  We hope to beat our previous total and make Spirit Alive 2016 the best one yet! Find out more visit our Spirit Alive page under the 'Children' Menu on the main page.

  Year 6 children are welcome to breakfast club next week Monday to Thursday from 8am.  50p per day.

• Easter Bonnets and Egg Decorating

  There was a fantastic response to the egg decorating and Easter bonnet competition, perhaps the best response we've had.  There were sone fantastic entries and you can see some pictures of the winning entries.

  

• Dates for Easter Competitions

  Please note the following dates for the Easter competitions:

  KS2 - Wednesday 23rd March to bring in decorated eggs to be judged Thurs 24th March.

  Reception and Nursery - Thurs 24th March Easter bonnet competition.

  KS1 - Weds 23rd March decorated eggs or Easter bonnets to be judged Thursday 24th March.

  Lot's is happening this week. The book fair is on Monday to Thursday 3:00-3:30 each afternoon. 

  Thursday is World Book Day and Years Nursery to Year 3 pupils  can come in dressed as a book character. Years 4, 5 and 6 have a poster competition.

  Year 5 go to London on Wednesday.

  Reminder that school reopens on Monday 22nd at 8:50am. Have a good holiday.

  Our Guinea Pigs now have names they are called Cherry, Pippin and Pom Pom. These were picked out of the hat from the names submitted by each class.

• Monday 18th January

  We now have some guinea pigs in school.  They are only four weeks old and this was their first week in school. They are a bit young to be handled yet, but all the pupils got an opportunity to see them.  They don't have names yet, but this week all the classes chose 3 names which will be put into a hat and drawn out next week.   Last week we had a very positive start to the New Year and pupils settled back into work well.  We are looking forward to another fantastic term at Beechwood, with all sorts going on, so don't forget to check here for the weekly news, and on the class pages for what's going on in each class.
